New SEAT Leon SC Ready For Launch

There has always been something special about SEAT. The manufacturer has been a UK favourite since it first appeared here in 1985, selling at first just hundreds and then tens of thousands of models each year. Now ready to take back the market with unparalleled ferocity, SEAT is preparing for the UK debut of their latest Leon SC 3-door model. Offering more than it ever has before, this car could just put them back on the top.

According to SEAT, the car is designed from the ground up, offering customers ‘the striking road presence of a coupe with the practicality of a family hatchback.’ It comes with a shorter wheelbase, lower roofline and a sloped rear hatch as well as embodying SEAT’s ‘arrow head’ design. It does this all by implementing a unique A-pillar back that loses little headroom while offering drivers five full seats and a 380-litre boot.

Early reviews all say that the new SEAT Leon SC is great to drive, and you can understand why when you realize it gets its engines and gearboxes from the VW Golf. The platform is also based on the Golf so as you’d expect the car feels solid and well made. It's safe too, gaining a maximum five- stars in the Euro NCAP crash safety tests.

Standard equipment on the new Leon is impressive, with the entry-level model getting equipment like air-conditioning, Bluetooth connectivity and a five-inch colour touchscreen.

It’s economical as well, with the entry-level 1.2-litre TSI petrol returning more than 57.6mpg, while the range-topping 2.0-litre TDI diesel produces over 180bhp yet manages to return more than 65mpg and emit just 112g/km of CO2.

The Leon SC is expected in Pentagon showrooms from July priced from just £15,370. For a limited time we're also offering the new Leon technology pack - including full LED headlights, DAB radio and navigation system -  for just £500, saving over £1400 on the MRRP.
